Mills MD 35

Mills Design 35 foot daysailer built in New Zealand in 2007.
The MD35 promises ease, grace and beauty in a neat little package.
This is the prototype for a class of daysailer designed to come apart and fit into a 40'container.
The mast is in two pieces, the keel lifts and the rudder is removable to facilitate easy transport.
Matagi is the ultimate racing daysailer and a proven race winner _ under current ownership she has twice won one her division of the Australia Day Regatta. She is easily sailed with a crew of four with spinnaker and two without spinnaker with the electric powered mainsheet making sailing very easy.


Improvements under current ownership since 2017:
- Carbon mast removed and painted and standing rigging replaced with wire in 2018
- New North Sails 3DL carbon Main, Jib and masthead Asymmetrical spinnaker in 2019
- Mast and sails tuned by North Sails experts
- New B&G wireless instruments installed
- Sail control systems replaced and improved
- New Carbon gas strut boom vang

Other features:
- Electric powered mainsheet
- Jib furler available
- Stanchions available

Regular maintenance:
- Hull regularly cleaned by diver
- Regular anti-fouling and topside maintenance and polishing by Ian Hobbs
- Regular engine servicing
- Winches regularly maintained
- Saildrive propeller bearings maintained and saildrive seal unit replaced
