The Laurent Giles design Salar 40 are a world renound blue water sailing yacht.
Salar 40s were designed to be safe, comfortable, and seaworthy, and to travel long distances. 'A round the world yacht' was the marketing slogan when the boat was built, and it wasn't just hot air. There aren't many in the US, but in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand she is a well-respected blue water design, many of which have circumnavigated.
- In 2018 a fully reconditioned Ford Dover 90hp four cyliner engine and Borg Warner gearbox was installed. Invoice available. Only 500 hours since rebuild
