Designed by Edwin Monk, of Seattle, USA, built by
Peter Bracken in 1962 at Bonna Point, Kurnell.
Peter Bracken built beautiful private vessels, but
also ferries and police boats. He may not have built
as many boats as the Halvorsens but the quality of
his work is on par with theirs.
Alveron, 29 foot long and 9.85 foot wide, has a Carvel planked Oregon hull and the
cabin sides are teak. Alveron sleeps four people, She is an ideal weekender and
offers a table for up to six people for lunch or dinner.
The engine is a Volvo 30 HP Diesel with about 160 hours. 10 litres of diesel keep
Alveron happily running all day long. It brings the speed up to about 6 knots.
All electrical wiring was replaced in 2014. In 2018 the transmission was replaced.
There is a 12 volt refrigerator, gas stove, two depth sounders, one with satellite
navigation, a bilge blower, three bilge pumps, a large solar panel, a stereo radio, an
electric toilet.
The boat is protected by a full canvas cover.
Many receipts available for work carried out in past few years.
Very loved and well maintained boat.
